Getting Started

Consider your goals

What is important to you for a study abroad experience …

• How could it benefit your future career? 
• Are you interested in gaining international work experience? 
• Is there a specific country/culture you want to engage with?

Meet with your academic advisor 

Share your desire to study abroad with your advisor. Go over your goals and discuss 你可以在国外上哪些课程，哪些课程可以申请，主修/辅修， 或者选修要求，并制定一个计划，什么时候上什么课 - and where!

在出国留学之前，你必须完成至少两个学期的大学课程 program, your GPA must be 2.5 or higher. For language programs, you also must meet 语言要求(见课程特定页面，学术目录，或与 your advisor for details).

大多数出国留学项目都有课程要求——要么是必修课 或者是必修课和选修课的混合课程——允许你获得12门课程 18 credits for the semester, though it does depend on the program. We recommend you 计划修16个学分，这样你就可以平衡课堂作业和其他文化 or travel experiences.

Financial Planning

Apply

Application Form

References

除了申请，我们还要求你请两个不同的人填写推荐信 form for you. At least one of these references must be a current Aquinas professor (World Language students must have one from their language professor). Interview

Prepare to Study Abroad

Take Care of Logistics

• Submit a deposit to the Student Accounts Office and familiarize yourself with the payment schedule information
• 附加申请:我们的一些合作伙伴组织要求您通过 their application process. Take care to apply on-time so processes aren’t delayed.

Attend Orientation/Training Sessions

We provide orientation sessions for students studying abroad. Each session covers 重要的后勤，旅行健康和安全，以及文化信息的帮助 students navigate the country they are studying in.
